Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Location: Hicksville, NY
Duration: 2+ Months (Start Monday 4/7)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $63/hr overtime after 40
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
  • Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

  • Hours: 40 hours: M-F, 8am - 4pm

Project Scope:
The construction safety manager will oversee the safety of a roof replacement (JSAs, site walks, audits, safety enforcement, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in construction safety management. Needs to have roofing experience.
  • Certifications: Current OSHA 510, NYC SST Certification is a plus

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
  • Provide safety training as needed.
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications

Skills:

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
