Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cath Lab assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Position is based in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
- Responsibilities include providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac and vascular imaging
- Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events
- Assists physicians as a scrub assistant during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
- Patient care is provided under the supervision of an RN
- Uses Epic charting system for documentation
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week
- Duties include maintaining unit cleanliness and stock, performing daily and discharge documentation, and assisting with educational needs of patients and families
- Participation in quality and patient safety initiatives is expected
- Permanent staff must have separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Dress code follows clinical standards; further details provided during onboarding

- One year of recent Cath Lab or cardiology specialty experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
- Registered ARRT or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire; RCES or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification also accepted
- Active license required if applicable
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must not expire prior to start
- Fluoroscopy certification required
- Must provide radiation badges
- Experience with Epic EMR required
