Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Medical Assistant with recent clinical experience to support multiple primary care practices, including family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics. This role will initially float between clinics in Milwaukee during training and operational needs, with the potential to transition into a primary practice location. The ideal candidate has strong EPIC experience and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities / Job Duties

Float between family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric clinics as needed

Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document patient history in EPIC

Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supply inventory

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments

Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications (non-IV) per provider order
-
Perform CLIA-waived testing, EKGs, and respiratory testing
-
Document medications, immunizations, and patient communication accurately in EMR

Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care

Provide patient education and connect patients with community resources

Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality

Support clinic operations and provide team coverage as needed
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Required:
-
Recent experience as a Medical Assistant
-
EPIC experience
-
Experience in Family Medicine (or Pediatrics and Internal Medicine)
Preferred:
-
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
-
1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
Schedule / Shift
Full-time; schedule varies based on clinic assignment. Must be flexible to float between practice locations as needed.
