As part of that commitment, our Senior Project Manager Payer Services plays a key leadership role in delivering high-impact, complex healthcare IT projects. This individual is responsible for guiding cross-functional teams, refining delivery practices, and driving operational improvements that elevate both project outcomes and client satisfaction. The role requires strategic oversight, comprehensive planning, proactive risk and resource management, and strong executive client engagement, along with a passion for mentorship and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.


What you'll do

Project Planning & Execution

  • Leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-phase projects acrosstechnical and functional teams.
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversees day-to-day project operations and ensures alignment with long-term client and company objectives.


Client Engagement Communication

  • Serves as the primary contact for high-level clients and external stakeholders.
  • Builds and sustains long-term client relationships; aligns project goals with client strategy.
  • Provides detailed status updates and performance reporting tailored to executive stakeholders.


Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks proactively; creates contingency plans to minimize disruption.
  • Ensures adherence to contractual obligations, security protocols, and industry standards, including HIPAA.
  • Tracks compliance with client, legal, and internal reporting requirements.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentors Project Managers and Associates; supports their professional growth throughcoaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Leads by example, setting expectations for delivery quality, communication, andaccountability.
  • Fosters a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging knowledge exchange across departments.


Innovation & Methodology Enhancement

  • Identifies and implements opportunities to improve delivery frameworks, workflows, andreporting tools.
  • Evaluates new project management methodologies and technologies for scalability andeffectiveness.
  • Shares insights from past engagements to refine internal delivery standards.


Budget & Resource Management

  • Manages complex project budgets and financial reporting.
  • Optimizes team staffing and resource allocation across concurrent projects.
  • Forecasts future resourcing needs based on pipeline visibility and client priorities.


What We're Looking For

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira,Smartsheet, Asana).
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies, including hybrid models.
  • Experience leading projects involving healthcare interoperability, HL7, FHIR, andintegration platforms.
  • Skilled in financial tracking, scope control, and SOW preparation for technicalengagements.


Essential Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing InterSystems HealthShare and supporting payer service platforms.
  • Knowledge of CMS regulatory frameworks, notably CMS-9115-F and CMS-0057-F, including associated API and data exchange requirements.
  • Well-versed in interoperability standards within the healthcare ecosystem, including HL7 and FHIR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in healthcareIT or enterprise system implementation.
  • PMP certification required; Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, or similar) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and teams across multiple clientaccounts.
  • Oral and written fluency in English.


Home Office Requirements

  • A minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps for downloads and 1.5 Mbps for uploads is required.
  • A private Wi-Fi network with a strong, unique password is necessary to access company data or systems.

* The company provides a monthly stipend to support internet expenses. All new employees must conduct an internet speed test and submit the results during the onboarding process. Additionally, ensure that the network password is not set to the default provided by the router.
