A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Med/Surg expertise to provide compassionate, patient-centered care during the night shift. Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and prioritize care needs based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial status
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans according to nursing standards
- Provide education and discharge planning to patients and their families
- Document timely interventions and clinical outcomes accurately
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Delegate and coordinate patient care activities among staff
- Maintain a safe, respectful environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Participate in unit growth and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required; ACLS is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Surg nursing
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred
- Ability to work night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with flexibility to float to other units
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases; follows strict safety protocols
- Requires physical stamina for patient lifting, walking, and prolonged standing
- Ability to respond to emergency situations efficiently

- Schedule: Night shifts, no blocked or fixed schedules
- Weekend availability required; no on-call duties
