Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students across two schools in Portsmouth, VA. This contract position spans the full school year, providing vital speech and language services to approximately 45 students with diverse communication needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status in Speech Language Pathology
  • Prior experience working as an SLP within school settings (K-12)
  • Strong familiarity with school-based speech and language assessments and interventions
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, educators, and families

Location:

  • Two schools within Portsmouth, VA, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct therapy services, consult with teachers and staff, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
  • Support students' communication goals across classroom and campus environments
