Job Purpose

The Payroll and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Analyst is responsible for completing payroll activities and maintenance of HRIS data for Green Courte Residential Holdings entities. Entities include True Connection Communities, Windward Communities and Shared Services, for a population of over 800 employees in 16 states. The Payroll and HRIS Analyst position is a key position that supports all payroll activities while assisting in the maintenance and reporting of data stored in the Human Resource Information System.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include team member’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, exemption status, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Processes paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, garnishments, and unemployment.
  • Assisting in completing payroll processing activities while ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Reviews audit reports and makes adjustments to ensure the accuracy of each team member’s paycheck, deductions, and earnings record.
  • Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding pay in a timely manner.
  • Issues, or reissues direct deposits (or live checks if necessary) due to payroll errors or final discharge.
  • Assists in managing the configuration and maintenance of HR and Payroll data in the HRIS system, implementing (process) improvements, ensuring data quality, and analyzing and reporting on the data in the HRIS.
  • Creates standard and ad hoc reports for Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting and outside departments.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation for new functions in the HRIS system.
  • Partners with Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Benefits, and other departments on payroll-related questions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing using an automated time and attendance system, or an equivalent combination of education and payroll experience required.
  • Deep knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
  • Knowledge of FLSA pay practices. Experience processing payroll for multiple entities and locations desired.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software, ADP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) to compare and analyze data.
  • Familiarity with HRIS reporting, data extraction, and analytics.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.
  • A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance.


Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may occasionally be required to travel.
