We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician with expertise in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, with a strong focus on working with conduit pipe and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial construction projects.
- Work with various types of conduit pipe, including EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
- Perform wiring, grounding, and panel installations according to code requirements.
- Test electrical systems and components for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure all work meets NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
- Extensive experience working with conduit pipe and electrical installations.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass background check.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with fire alarm systems, lighting controls, and emergency power systems.
- Ability to operate power tools and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
