Do you dream in spreadsheets, thrive on reconciling accounts, and secretly enjoy balancing budgets? SERVPRO of Omaha SW is looking for an Accounting Rockstar to join our team and help keep our financial engine running like a well-oiled machine!

General Accounting


  • Record daily sales, deposits, and expenses for the franchise location.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and KPI analyses.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and perform scenario planning to support strategic decisions.

Royalty & Franchise Reporting


  • Calculate and prepare royalty reports based on franchise sales.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of royalties to the franchisor.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for royalties and franchise fees.
  • Assist with audits or reviews conducted by the franchisor.

Accounts Payable / Receivable


  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.

Payroll & Employee Support


  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain payroll records and file required tax reports.
  • Assist with employee expense reimbursements and related reporting.

Strategic Finance & Operational Integration


  • Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Track and report key financial KPIs, including profitability by division and gross margin analysis.
  • Partner with Operations and Project Managers on job costing, staffing, pricing, and vendor negotiations.
  • Provide financial insights to support leadership decision-making, risk management, and growth opportunities.
  • Support capital planning, financing initiatives, and relationships with banks, tax advisors, and lenders.

Compliance & Controls


  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Maintain organized financial records for audits, tax filings, and franchise compliance.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, including fraud prevention, PO compliance, and spending approvals.
  • Develop and update accounting policies and procedures as the company scales.

Other Duties


  • Provide support for special projects as needed.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 23 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience; franchise or multi-unit experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll practices, and internal controls.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
