DESCRIPTION

The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.

SCHEDULE

This position is full-time (at least 40 hours per week) with the below schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Rotating Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of the visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to correct staff.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Verify client insurance eligibility and collect payments from clients.
  • Monitor and update ProtoCall spreadsheet daily.
  • Ensure that all billing and recording functions are conducted in compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
  • Assist other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a certified medical office training course preferred.
  • Must pass NMCYFD fingerprint clearance check to maintain employment.
  • Maintain a valid and unrestricted NM Driver’s License

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion as a rule.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
