Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A short-term contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to cover a maternity leave from February 6 to June 11. This role is based in a K-12 school located in El Cajon, CA, with the position stationed in a nearby Lakeside location. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, working 7 hours per day from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students, supporting their educational goals and functional needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 55-60 students
- Collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on site for additional support
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and IEP development as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy, particularly within K-12 settings
- Strong skills in school OT practices and healthcare OT interventions
- Previous involvement in home health OT is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in-person full time during the contract period
This contract requires an Occupational Therapist with strong school-based experience who can provide hands-on support to students and collaborate effectively within the school environment. The caseload is moderate, and a reliable COTA will assist with service delivery.
