We are seeking a Quality Control Associate to join our team!
Quality Control (QC) Inspector in manufacturing ensures products meet quality, safety, and reliability standards by inspecting, testing, and measuring raw materials and finished goods. They identify defects, document findings, and recommend adjustments to production, acting as the final check before products leave the facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspections: Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Testing & Measurement: Utilize precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify specifications.
- Documentation: Record inspection data, nonconformances, and test results in reports, logs, or QMS systems.
- Defect Correction: Identify, report, and quarantine defective products while initiating, tracking, and verifying corrective actions.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to company, industry, and legal standards, including ISO requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification (e.g., ASQ certification) is often preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, inspection, or quality assurance roles.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision in examining products for subtle defects.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot, find the root cause of issues, and suggest improvements.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to report issues to production supervisors and engineering teams.
