Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support students in a pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade school setting in Hobbs, NM. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, beginning July 22, 2025, and concluding May 29, 2026. The role involves delivering specialized occupational therapy services to a diverse student population within a structured educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across grades pre-K through 12, supporting their individual developmental and educational needs.
  • Manage a caseload of 40-55 students, delivering daily therapy sessions aligned with each student's IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom and school activities.
  • plete required documentation and participate in meetings as necessary to support student progress.
  • Maintain pliance with state regulations and ethical standards for school-based occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in New Mexico.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
  • Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively municating with educators, parents, and students.
  • Organized with strong time management skills to handle a full caseload and documentation requirements.

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: July 22, 2025 May 29, 2026.
  • Hours: 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
  • Caseload: 40-55 students.
  • No Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) on staff.
