Job Title: Surgical Services / CVOR Technologist

Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Technologist to join a cardiovascular surgical team in a high-acuity operating room environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both scrub and circulating responsibilities, possess strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, and demonstrate excellent teamwork and patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scrub and circulating duties during cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for scheduled surgeries.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers during procedures.
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide appropriate instrumentation and supplies.
• Conduct surgical counts and maintain accurate procedural documentation.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support efficient surgical operations.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience required.
• Experience performing both scrub and circulating duties required.
• Cardiovascular surgical experience required.

Certifications

• BLS Certification required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Expertise in sterile technique and surgical asepsis.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing surgical schedules and patient needs.
