Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a dedicated professional skilled as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) to support a specialized elementary classroom in Monroe, NC. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work with approximately 12 students in a CBSS Specialized Setting Classroom, providing critical behavior and routine support.
Location: Benton Heights Elementary, Monroe, NC
Contract Duration: ASAP through June 5, 2026
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall behavior management and daily routine support within the classroom setting
- Deliver occasional one-on-one support to individual students as needed
- Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher and two teaching assistants to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and address behavioral challenges through evidence-based strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license or Behavior Technician experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings, particularly in behavior management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
