Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a home infusion pharmacy team with operational oversight and ensure regulatory compliance. You will play a critical role in patient safety, prescription accuracy, and team leadership while working a consistent first-shift schedule.
Location: Foxborough, MA
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; possible weekends and on-call rotation
Job Type: 13-week Contract to Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage prescription documentation and review for full compliance with HIPAA, federal, state, and internal protocols.
- Deliver patient counseling and enforce safe dispensing and equipment monitoring practices.
- Address patient incidents, complaints, and escalated care issues promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate with intake, referral, pharmacy, and shipping teams to ensure smooth referral processes and timely delivery of prescriptions.
- Lead pharmacy technicians, support staffing needs, and communicate leadership updates regarding people, processes, and technology.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license required; Connecticut license preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 1 year in a specialty or home infusion environment.
- Proven experience in sterile compounding and working knowledge of USP <797> standards must be highlighted.
- Previous management experience essential.
- Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy software preferred.
