Job Description
Job Description
Company: Wickersham Construction
Location: Lancaster, PA (and regional project sites)
Job Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
Wickersham Construction is seeking versatile, high-caliber tradespeople to join our field operations. We specialize in complex Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant (W/WWT) and industrial projects. We aren't just looking for a specialist; we are looking for "builders"—pros who take pride in seeing a project through from the first form-pin to the final valve turn.
Core Disciplines
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical Assembly & Systems Integration: Ability to gather and inventory project components (pumps, motors, valves, and hardware), interpret assembly schematics, and systematically build out complex mechanical systems from the ground up.
- W/WWT Process Piping: Expertise in the layout and installation of ductile iron, PVC, and stainless steel piping systems, including specialized gates and pumping equipment.
- Structural Concrete & Formwork: Heavy-duty forming (Symons, gang forms, etc.) for liquid-tight tanks and foundations, including precision rebar placement and concrete finishing.
- Industrial Carpentry: Proficient in rough framing, blocking, doors/hardware, and interior specialized wood or metal stud work within facility buildings.
- Precision Rigging & Setting: Experience assisting with the setting of heavy mechanical equipment, clarifiers, and aeration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-precision work on critical infrastructure projects including treatment plants and pump stations.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, including civil, structural, and mechanical drawings.
- Operate construction power tools and heavy equipment safely.
- Maintain a "safety-first" mindset, ensuring OSHA compliance on every task.
- Collaborate with the Site Superintendent to solve technical field challenges in real-time.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years in heavy commercial or industrial construction (Wastewater experience is a major plus).
- Adaptability: A "team-first" attitude—willing to move from formwork to pipe installation as the project schedule requires.
- Tools: Must have basic hand tools of your primary trade.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to job sites across the Central PA region.
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working in outdoor environments, at heights, and in confined spaces (with proper training).
Why Join Wickersham?
- Stability: A respected, century-old firm with a deep pipeline of local work.
- Project Variety: Work on massive industrial plants and intricate infrastructure that serves our community.
- Investment in You: Competitive hourly wages, comprehensive healthcare/dental, 401k matching, and paid time off.
