Overview
Part-Time Dental Hygienist
We are looking for a dedicated and caring Dental Hygienist to become a part of our team. In this position, you will focus on delivering top-notch preventive dental care, educating patients about oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in ensuring an outstanding patient experience. Your clinical skills and patient-centered approach will be essential in fostering long-term oral health within our community.
Schedule: Part-Time, Mondays and Fridays
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing as necessary.
- Capture and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Perform oral health evaluations and document the status of teeth and gums.
- Instruct patients on effective oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure instruments are sterilized in line with infection control standards.
- Support the dentist during examinations and procedures as required.
- Accurately record patient care and treatment plans in dental records.
- Oversee and maintain hygiene supplies and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Current Dental Hygiene license in the state of practice.
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Gentle and empathetic chairside demeanor.
- Familiarity with dental software and digital record-keeping.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality care.
- Knowledge of common dental procedures and patient education methods.

The compensation for this position ranges from $50 to $60 per hour.
