Job Description
This role operates and maintains high-speed, paper-based packaging production lines in a large manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform changeovers, support continuous production, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The position involves working with automated equipment, completing production reports, and contributing to a clean, organized, and safe workplace across rotating shifts.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly and assist in repairs to minimize downtime, including unjamming the line and rethreading the line when necessary.
- Replace worn or broken components such as drive belts, bearings, and other mechanical parts on production equipment.
- Manage product changeovers efficiently to reduce downtime, including changing paper sizes and adjusting multiple areas of the manufacturing line.
- Perform general maintenance on machines and other production equipment to keep systems operating safely and reliably.
- Complete required production reports accurately and on time using basic computer applications such as Excel and Outlook.
- Navigate and comprehend Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, including interpreting error codes and faults, changing speeds and programs, and making operational adjustments.
- Learn and use web-based operating systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms to support production and reporting activities.
- Splice raw materials at various points in the production line when materials run out, including paper rolls, release liners, and label stock, typically every few hours.
- Monitor product flow throughout the production line to ensure consistent quality, correct specifications, and sustained productivity..

Work Environment
You work in a large manufacturing environment focused on producing paper-based packaging, including industrial and commercial paper bags used for building materials such as cement, sand, and chemicals, as well as food bags for products like flour and feed, and e-commerce packaging such as brown envelopes and bags. The facility operates multiple shifts, including a daylight shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), a mid shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.), and a night shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.), providing coverage for continuous production. You operate and support high-speed automated machinery, conveyor systems, and related equipment, and you may use forklifts and hand tools as part of your daily tasks. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with expectations that you maintain a tidy workspace and follow 5S principles. Appropriate attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required at all times to ensure safe operation around machinery and moving equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53040.00 - $53040.00/yr.
