Job Title: Lot Attendant / Porter
Reports To: Sales Manager, Service Manager, or Lot Manager
Position Summary:
The Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the dealership’s vehicle inventory, assisting with vehicle movement, and supporting sales and service operations. This role ensures vehicles are clean, accessible, and presented in a professional manner to enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Organize and park vehicles on the dealership lot according to layout and inventory guidelines.

Move vehicles between the showroom, service department, front line, storage, and delivery areas as directed.

Inspect vehicles for damage and report any issues to management.

Assist customers and sales staff in locating and retrieving vehicles.

Install temporary license plates, remove protective coverings, and prepare vehicles for delivery.

Maintain lot security by ensuring all vehicles are locked and keys are stored securely.

Keep the lot free of trash, debris, and hazards.

Support the service department by transporting vehicles to/from customer locations, service bays, and other facilities.

Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Ability to operate a variety of vehicles safely and efficiently.
Work Environment:

Primarily outdoors on the dealership lot, with some indoor tasks.

Exposure to weather elements, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
