• Salary Range: $100,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience, education, and other qualifications)

Position Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving the company’s operational systems and execution framework. This role ensures scalable processes, disciplined execution, and strong cross-functional alignment across sales operations, OEM projects, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing partnerships.
This role requires deep and ongoing engagement with China-based factories and engineering teams. Due to the global nature of operations, the Director is expected to regularly interface with China teams during their business hours, manage complex or escalated matters, and provide strategic direction across time zones.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Strategy & System Design
- Design and optimize operational frameworks across:
- Sales operations
- OEM / customization workflows
- Supply chain and manufacturing coordination
- Establish clear ownership models, escalation paths, and decision-making mechanisms
- Translate company strategy into operational priorities and execution structures
2. China Factory & Supply Chain Leadership
- Own senior-level operational engagement with China-based factories and engineering partners
- Set communication cadence, escalation protocols, and performance expectations
- Lead resolution of complex or high-impact issues involving:
- Production quality
- Delivery risk
- Cost or scope changes
- Align factory execution with company priorities and customer commitments
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment
- Lead alignment across Operations, Sales, Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Serve as a key advisor on execution feasibility, risk assessment, and prioritization
- Resolve cross-departmental conflicts and ensure accountability
4. OEM & Strategic Project Oversight
- Oversee high-impact OEM and strategic customer projects from an operational perspective
- Participate in Go / No-Go decisions and major milestone reviews
- Ensure execution risks are identified early and managed proactively
5. Process Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and enforce SOPs, operational policies, and governance mechanisms
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase scalability, transparency, and execution quality
- Define and track KPIs to monitor operational performance
6. Team Leadership & Executive Reporting
- Build, lead, and develop the Operations team
- Set role expectations and performance standards
- Provide clear operational reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations to executive leadership
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above; advanced degree is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, project management, or general management
- Extensive experience working with China-based factories, OEM/ODM partners, or manufacturing ecosystems
- Proven ability to manage cross-time-zone operations, including regular engagement during China business hours
- Strong systems thinking, judgment, and decision-making capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Mandarin proficiency is required
