Order Entry SpecialistJob Summary:

Receive, import, and process orders submitted by customers via the H&S Wholesale portal. Invoice orders pulled by warehouse staff and then prepare invoices for delivery drivers. Enter a variety of data onto multiple spreadsheets. Greet guests as needed. May be required to complete other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Customer Service: Work directly with customers, assisting with placing their orders. Being friendly and understanding their needs is crucial to the job
  • Set-up and assist customers with ordering on company portal
  • Complete fields such as name, address, account number, item number, price, and any sales or promotions
  • Process order and distribute invoices/credits
  • Follow up on missing items/mis-picked items
  • Handle complaints about unfulfilled orders
  • Interact with all levels of management


Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in order entry, data entry, or a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in English and in all MS Office programs - emphasis in Excel - advance/ intermediate levels
  • Customer service orientated
  • Experience with Dynamics BC 365 (preferred)

Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills, including data entry and working with order management systems.
  • Time Management: Speed is of the essence. Being able to manage how much time is spent on a project is important
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficient in ten key
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be costumer service oriented.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
  • Ability to understand and follow direction given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g. calculators, typewriters, computers, FAX, machines, copiers, etc.)
