LEAD PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
Position Summary
The Lead Production Associate directly supports the Production Manager in driving operational efficiency, maintaining production timelines, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. The Lead Production Associate is a supervisory role responsible for overseeing the preparation and packaging of our gourmet popcorn products. This position ensures that all production activities are executed with precision, consistency, and in full compliance with company standards and food safety regulations. Acting as a key liaison between production staff and management, the Lead Associate guides team members, manages daily workflows, and upholds operational excellence across all stages of production.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the preparation of various gourmet popcorn flavors, ensuring Associates follow recipes precisely and measure ingredients accurately.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and quality across all batches.
- Ensure compliance with the By-Laws of the Corporation, Articles of Incorporation, and all relevant company policies.
- All other duties as assigned
- Oversee the accurate portioning and packaging of finished popcorn into branded bags, cups, and sample packs.
- Ensure packaging machines are operated correctly and manual packing is performed efficiently when needed.
- Manage the fulfillment of all outgoing orders, including online, wholesale, and pop-up event shipments.
- Ensure the production area, equipment, and workstations are consistently clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Enforce hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a compliant and efficient work environment.
- Guide Associates to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor team workloads to meet daily production and shipping deadlines.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols throughout production, packaging, and order fulfillment.
- Communicate and uphold company standards, procedures, and expectations across the team.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent at a minimum; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and documenting in English required.
Job Competencies
- Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Two years of experience working with individuals with IDD and/or Mental Health issues
- Understanding of trauma, trauma-informed care, and the creation of trauma-informed environments
- Valid driver’s license.
- Subject to employment clearances, including FBI clearance, if applicable.
