A registered nurse with expertise in the operating room is needed to deliver specialized, patient-centered care in a dynamic clinical environment. This contract opportunity based in El Cajon, CA, involves providing comprehensive nursing services that emphasize individualized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments addressing patient and family needs, prioritizing goals that are both holistic and individualized
- Develop, implement, and adapt age and culturally appropriate nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary while documenting responses and outcomes effectively
- Identify and address educational needs of patients and families using adult-learning theories to ensure understanding and empowerment
- Advocate for patients by facilitating decision-making and protecting individual and family rights
- Delegate appropriate tasks to healthcare team members within their scope of practice to optimize patient care
- Communicate and coordinate with healthcare professionals and ancillary staff to ensure seamless care delivery and efficient workflows
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license with demonstrated experience in operating room nursing
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy capabilities
- Knowledge of nursing process and familiarity with documentation standards
