PRN Occupational Therapist – Hospital-Based Rehab

Wabash, IN
Direct Hire | PRN | Weekday Flexibility

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a hospital-based Therapy & Rehabilitation Unit in Wabash, Indiana. This PRN opportunity offers flexible weekday scheduling and a competitive hourly rate with premium pay.

This role focuses on evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs designed to improve patient independence and functional outcomes.

Position Details

• PRN (as needed)
• Weekday shifts
• Hospital-based Therapy & Rehabilitation Unit
• Hourly Rate: $37.42 – $56.13 (includes PRN premium pay)
• Direct Hire opportunity

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Implement goal-oriented therapy interventions
• Select therapeutic activities based on physician orders, patient history, and evaluation findings
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Educate patients and families on home programs and discharge planning
• Complete documentation and billing in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Master’s degree required if graduated after 1/1/2002
• Bachelor’s degree acceptable if graduated prior to 1/1/2002
• Indiana Occupational Therapy license (or eligible within 90 days)
• CPR certification required within 90 days

Preferred Experience

• Prior hospital or rehabilitation experience preferred
• Experience working with interdisciplinary care teams

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work at other locations if needed
