We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager in the Irwindale area. This position requires experience managing large projects in support of safety as well. This is an in-office Monday-Friday position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage functions including analyses, project proposals, project plans, business cases, schedule, project scope definition, and risk analysis/mitigation plans
- Develop objective and short to long milestones
- Develop and implement metrics to measure and adjust
- Lead team efforts to drive project objectives from inception to completion
- Ability to manage and facilitate meetings, presentations and discussion to discuss continuous improvement communication status updates and drive project progression
- Responsible for developing and maintaining master project plans for complex safety culture projects with high visibility and aggressive timelines
- Execute overarching Safety Culture Transformation Roadmap and other related safety strategies
- Previous experience managing or supporting project budget, scope, schedule, and resources
- Oversee the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance
- Previous experience interfacing and collaborating with all team members and all levels of management
- Excellent and strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and monitor assignments
- Ability to manage risk appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
- Must demonstrate effective decision making, deliver results and team building and ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovations
Education and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred however not required
- Project Management Certification (PMP) desired
- Seven years plus managing projects, contracts, and programs
- Experience implementing and managing large scale programs/projects
- Experience facilitating cross functional teams
- Strong analytical problem solving and negotiations skills
