Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students with life skills development in a full-semester, contract paraeducator role within a K-12 school setting in Eugene, OR. These positions focus on assisting students with lower cognitive abilities to enhance their independence and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one instructional support to life skills students.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher guidance.
- Support classroom management and facilitate student engagement.
- Monitor and document student progress, communicating effectively with educators and support staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student independence.
Qualifications:
- Completion of at least 48 college credits or an Associates degree or higher.
- Experience working with students requiring life skills instruction preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience and a nurturing approach tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to follow specific instructional plans and adapt to individual student requirements.
Position Details:
- Location: Eugene, OR (On-site only)
- Schedule: 35 hours per week; Wednesdays are early release
- Duration: Immediate start through June 12, 2026
