John Knox Village is a not-for-profit Life Care Retirement Community offering a full range of independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care options for more than 1,000 senior residents on our 70-acre campus, located in Pompano Beach, convenient to major highways and transportation options.
What's your day like?
As a new Part Time Dispatcher at John Knox Village of Florida, you can expect a fast-paced and engaging work environment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing incoming calls, coordinating schedules for home health care staff, and ensuring timely responses to client needs. Daily tasks will involve monitoring service requests, updating care plans, and maintaining clear communication among team members to guarantee seamless operations. Your expected schedule will be from 3 PM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, allowing you to balance work with personal time.

To excel as a Part Time Dispatcher at John Knox Village of Florida, candidates should possess strong communication skills and exemplary customer service abilities. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with at least 6 months of dispatching or security experience. Familiarity with senior living or healthcare settings is a plus, as it aids in understanding the unique needs of our clients. A valid driver's license is essential for this role, as you may need to navigate between various locations. Flexibility in your schedule is also important, as the position requires availability for holidays and weekends.
Having a problem-solving mindset and the ability to prioritize tasks will be key to managing the fast-paced environment effectively. Proficiency in using dispatch software or tracking tools will further enhance your capability to provide excellent support to our clients and caregivers alike.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6+ months of dispatching or security experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience working in a senior living or healthcare setting a plus
- Exemplary customer service and communication skills
- Flexible schedule
