Position Summary
The Furniture Warehouse Inventory Associate is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and maintaining accurate inventory of furniture products within the warehouse. This role ensures efficient product flow, inventory accuracy, and a safe, organized warehouse environment while supporting shipping, receiving, and fulfillment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming furniture shipments for accuracy and damage
- Unload, move, and stage furniture using pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts
- Label, tag, and properly store inventory according to warehouse layout
- Conduct routine inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy
- Update inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or spreadsheets
- Pick, stage, and prepare furniture orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments and verifying order accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the warehouse
- Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management
- Follow safety procedures and proper lifting techniques at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, or furniture handling experience preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy furniture (up to 75 lbs with assistance)
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required)

- Warehouse setting with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to dust, packaging materials, and moving equipment
- Fast-paced environment with deadlines for order fulfillment
