Pharmacy Support Associate (Onsite – Cheektowaga, NY)
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire | Onsite
Work Schedule
Part-Time | 24–32 hours per week
Fridays and Sundays are mandatory
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Summary
We’re seeking a Pharmacy Support Associate to join a fast-paced, production-based pharmacy team. This position plays a key role in preparing, packaging, and distributing prescriptions with precision and care. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you’ll help ensure that patients receive their medications accurately, efficiently, and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fill prescription vials with tablets or capsules
- Retrieve and process both bulk and unit-of-use medications
- Verify product size and strength before fulfilling each order
- Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells
- Use handheld scanners to track and manage medication inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy floor
- Prepare prescriptions for shipping and packaging
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and safety standards
- Support team goals by maintaining consistent workflow and accuracy
- Perform additional duties and housekeeping tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk throughout shift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks
- Ability to read, count, and perform basic math calculations
- Reliable, quality-focused, and team-oriented
- Adherence to all pharmacy safety and confidentiality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy operations or warehouse experience
- Pharmacy technician training or degree (not required in NY)
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
