Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives while furthering your career as a Special Education Teacher. Two contract positions are open for dedicated professionals to serve in Emotional Support Classrooms: one supporting elementary students (grades 3-5) and another at the middle school level. The assignments are ongoing, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2026. Positions operate 35 hours weekly, factoring in a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience in emotional support or related behavioral/therapeutic classroom settings
- Passion for working with diverse learners and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability, resourcefulness, and a student-centered mindset
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support for students in Emotional Support Classrooms (elementary or middle school placement)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Track and document student progress, communicate regularly with parents and staff
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and contribute to a supportive school community
Key details:
- Elementary school hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM; Middle school hours: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
- Contract runs through June 10, 2026
- 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day
