Position Overview
Function4 is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager/Account Manager to join our growing team. This role blends technical project leadership with client relationship management, ensuring successful delivery of IT initiatives while maintaining strong, trusted partnerships with our clients.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and experienced working in an MSP or IT services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple IT projects from initiation through completion
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
- Coordinate project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables
- Translate client business needs into actionable IT solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams (Help Desk, NOC, Engineering, Security)
- Track project status, risks, and milestones; provide regular updates
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and account growth
- Maintain accurate project and account documentation
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Account Management, or a similar role
- Prior experience in an MSP or IT services environment preferred
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and security best practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ticketing and project management tools (ConnectWise, PSA tools, or similar)
Preferred Skills
- PMP, ITIL, or related certifications (a preferred, not required)
- Experience managing compliance-driven environments (HIPAA, SOC, ISO, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
