About the Opportunity:
Prime Personnel Resources is assisting a company that has an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. This is a full time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
The primary role will entail support of the Human Resources department in executing core HR functions, with a critical focus on scaling up operations during a period of dramatic expansion. This position performs vital tasks across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and actively contributes to fostering a positive workplace culture, communication, and training efficiency within our dynamic food manufacturing environment.
Key Areas of Accountability
Employee Engagement, Training, and Events
- Assist the HR Generalist in developing and implementing programs designed to improve employee engagement and morale (e.g., surveys, recognition programs) across the expanding workforce.
- Coordinate employee training logistics, including scheduling rooms, preparing materials, communicating with participants, and tracking completion to ensure a highly skilled and compliant manufacturing team.
- Plan and execute company events and employee activities (e.g., holiday parties, recognition ceremonies, team-building activities).
- Serve as an internal liaison between Operations/Plant employees and Management, helping to facilitate effective two-way communication, address employee concerns promptly, and support a collaborative work environment during growth.
HR Operations and Recruitment
- Coordinate and administer the full cycle of recruitment logistics for a growing number of roles, including preparing and posting job descriptions on internal and external platforms.
- Conduct initial pre-screening of non-exempt applicants and schedule interviews, managing all related candidate communication.
- Maintain accurate and complete records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or recruiting database to track all job candidates and comply with EEO/AA reporting requirements.
- Assist the HR Generalist in the preparation and execution of New Employee Orientation (NEO) sessions for high-volume new hires.
HR Administration and Compliance
- Accurately maintain confidential active and inactive personnel records, ensuring compliance with all company policies and state/federal retention guidelines.
- Take accurate meeting minutes during HR and other relevant staff meetings, tracking and following up on all assigned action items.
- Provide administrative support for benefits, training, development programs, and compliance documentation related to safety and health.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including specific practices related to plant safety, food safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using databases or HRIS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to assist with training presentations and effectively communicate with a diverse, non-exempt workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills, project coordination abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Resourceful team player with the ability to work independently, manage multiple competing demands, and consistently deliver a high level of customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior administrative or HR experience in a manufacturing or food production setting.
- 6-12 months of relevant administrative or HR experience.
- Familiarity with foundational employment laws such as ADA and FMLA.
