Position: Jail MAT- Clinician
Location: Kent County Correctional Facility
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $66,500
We are seeking a hard working and motivated candidate to work with incarcerated individuals with an Opioid and/or Stimulant Use Disorder at the Kent County Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree with one year working with the targeted population. Knowledge of the criminal justice system and Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) is desired. Applicants will need to pass a background check prior to hire.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing case management, substance abuse education, and outreach to individuals that are incarcerated and if needed in the community
- Work closely with the Recovery Coaches
- Work collaboratively with jail and community partners that provide SUD services
- Meet with clients via telehealth, in person and/or possibly in the community
- Crisis Management (as needed)
- Develop release plans and make necessary community referrals
- If needed, provide transportation to appointments
- Flexible Schedule but some weekends and holidays required
