Job Title: Welder

Job Description

Join our team as a skilled Welder, where you will utilize your expertise to weld products made of steel and galvanized metal using blueprints and fixtures. In this role, you will set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently to manufacture quality parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welders to hand weld products in a safe, efficient, quality, and ergonomic manner.
• Adjust welders as needed to maintain part quality.
• Set own machine for materials welded to produce minimal smoke or splatter.
• Produce high-quality welds with good workmanship and very few rejects.
• Consistently achieve acceptable levels of productivity with some supervision.
• Understand and manufacture products to specifications without a fixture using weld table, prints, tape measure, protractor, clamps, etc.
• Read and interpret prints and symbols accurately.
• Professionally communicate production issues and seek clarification and resolution from front-line employees and management.
• Perform tasks safely, including wearing safety glasses and gloves as described in JHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• MIG welding experience.
• Ability to proficiently weld Galvanized steel, Carbon Steel, and Stainless steel.
• Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals.
• Review and interpret symbols, part numbers, tolerance, data critical to quality, and weld placements on blueprints.
• Apply basic math to determine dimensions needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled and can be loud. Shift differentials are offered, with $1 for second shift and $2 for third shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
