Health Manager:

What you’ll need to be our Health Manager:

  • Baccalaureate degree required, preferably in a Health or related field

  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, coach team members, and hold staff accountable to performance and compliance standards

  • Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and Google Suite tools (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)

  • Knowledge of family health systems and community health resources (Medicaid, Prenatal Care, etc.), preferred

  • Previous experience in a role dependent on community partnerships preferred, ideally working with health departments and providers

  • Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards, preferred

What you’ll do as the Health Manager:

  • Lead, monitor, and report all health, mental health, disability services to ensure compliance with Head Start requirements and state and local regulations

  • Run the Health Services Advisory Committee while building and sustaining partnerships with health professionals and community organizations to strengthen child and family health

  • Drive continuous improvement by monitoring data, supporting self-assessments, and implementing systems to improve program quality and outcomes

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance and strengthen health practices and understanding

The RUCD team works well together to provide strong support and leadership, creating a consistent and quality learning environment. Children receive individualized lesson plans with developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and families are involved with their children’s education while they receive assistance with personal goals, parenting information, and leadership through parent committees and Policy Council.
