General Summary:


Multiplatform Content Scheduler is a technical role, responsible for the day-to-day Programming & Scheduling for Sony One. The role is responsible for schedule creation, data entry, metadata creation and revision, content review and other quality assurance projects for the digital content on Sony One across all its products not limited to Amazon Channels, Affiliate Channels and the App. It also assists in FAST Channels Programming and runs ad hoc content analysis, strategy and process efficiency projects that require attention to detail, thorough Excel skills and interest in exploring new systems and finding technological solutions to optimize workflows. This position reports to the Multiplatform Analyst and works closely with the Content Strategy and Acquisitions Sr. Manager.


50% Content & Editorial Scheduling:


  • Schedule weekly content releases for Amazon SVOD Channels, Ole Channels and the Sony One App.
  • System Management and data input to create and update Content Schedules for the Sony One App, Amazon Channels and Affiliate channels across platforms & CMS systems incl. Bebanjo. Mediamanager, Arion, Videocentral to execute Editorial and Programming strategies.
  • Support Multiplatform team in weekly execution of Editorial and Programming strategies including changing all hero banners, editorial assets, carrousels, featured titles and additional elements that drive content discoverability.
  • Assist Content Strategy & Acquisitions Sr. Manager in monthly upkeep and review of Overlap and Rights Trackers for Sony One.
  • Ad hoc updates and suggestion of title optimization and removals to Multiplatform Analyst and Content Strategy Manager based on performance and rights availability.


20% QA/QC Review:


  • Weekly monitor QA/ QC process for all content published to ensure schedules and editorial pieces are correctly showcased across various Digital products.
  • Support Multiplatform Analyst liaising with the Product and Finance team to ensure all content related errors are monitored and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for bulk editing any metadata across platforms to ensure all content is correctly published at all times.
  • Review and clean metadata across digital platforms using Bebanjo, VideoCentral and Mediamanager/Arion to ensure smooth UI/UX.
  • Collaborate with department Coordinators to upkeep all metadata requirements across platforms and servicing all internal teams, including Finance, Data Analytics, Operations, Marketing and Digital Partnerships.


15% Fast Channels Programming:


  • Create, update, maintain, and distribute programming calendars, programming schedules (grids/listings), scheduling formats/templates, master content inventory and content briefs.
  • Weekly monitor correct implementation and scheduling of all FAST-Programming grids and strategies. Collaborate with Multiplatform Planner to correct any inconsistencies and urgent changes.
  • Log and review all incoming On Air promotions.
  • Collaborate in content performance analysis and review for FAST Acquisition and Programming purposes.


15% Workflow Efficiency & Other Ad hoc Projects:


  • Collaborate with IT, AI and Data Science teams on workflow efficiency projects.
  • Support Content Strategy Manager in upkeeping all content tracking and overlap tracking files – running monthly Macros, Python & Alteryx Scripts to ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Assist Acquisition team in various projects not limited to leveraging Machine Learning and Automation tools to ensure workflow efficiencies across the Content Strategy and Multiplatform Teams.
  • Data analysis: Use metrics and insights to suggest scheduling adjustments across Digital Content Strategies and identify areas for improvement.


Requirements:


  • Must have advanced proficiency and experience in Excel, including VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Macros, and other advanced functions. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience with database/content management systems, metadata management, project management systems and/or programming/scheduling systems (Drupal, AEM, Bebanjo, Video Central, Media Manager, Arion, Asana, GPMS).
  • Previous experience or academic focus in leveraging technological and Machine learning solutions for problem-solving required (Gemini, ELLM, Open AI tools, Copilot, Perplexity).
  • Background in data analysis, sales planning, metadata management or programming/scheduling in television, media, entertainment or a related field.
  • English & Spanish Proficiency (written and spoken). Fluent Portuguese (written) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter, proactive, resourceful.
  • Experience collaborating with different teams, but agile to problem-solve independently.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in systems and processes.
  • Passionate about Film and Television Content or Content Strategy, with previous experience in Entertainment, Media, Film or TV preferred.


Additional Requirements:


Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.


Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Accounting, Information Technology, is preferred. B.A in Data Analytics or Communications/Media/Television Studies, also applicable.
