Position Summary:
The Commercial HVAC Technician will be responsible for accurately evaluating an existing system to determine the best course of action as it relates to repair or replacements.
HVAC Tech duties and responsibilities
- Testing for leaks using various testing tools
- Removing and installing air quality systems
- Meeting compliance requirement documentation
- Reviewing historical repair records to create an effective inspection schedule
- Communicating with clients
- Inspecting plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation while adhering to environmentally friendly guidelines.
- Potential training of junior teammates and attending workshops to learn about developments in HVAC Systems.
HVAC Technician skills and qualifications
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Excellent interpersonal skills to respond to clients complaints, questions and needs
- Ability to interpret technical data such as temperature and pressure
- Ability to operate and repair various HVAC equipment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
HVAC Technician experience requirements
The experience an HVAC Technician candidate will need depends on the job level. For example, candidates applying to entry-level positions might only have experience through their coursework and licensing. You may need to provide on-the-job training to these entry-level candidates. Mid- and senior-level HVAC Technician candidates typically need three to five years of experience. HVAC Technician education and training requirements
