Job Summary:

As a Transportation Supervisor, you’ll guide a team of schedulers and driver/PCAs while supporting the daily flow of transportation services.

This role is ideal for someone who is versatile, even-tempered, and comfortable moving between coaching, coordinating, problem-solving, and hands-on support. You’ll help keep operations smooth, maintain strong communication with staff, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support participant care.

Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight and support to transportation staff.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and all state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor attendance, review time records, and approve PTO requests with the Center Manager.
  • Submit payroll information accurately and on time.
  • Serve as the point of contact for state and federal auditors regarding transportation services.
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance, including preventative schedules, repairs, lift systems, and tie-down equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and schedule services as needed.
  • Communicate urgent maintenance issues to the Director of Transportation.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Transportation on vehicle transfers between locations.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations and report findings.
  • Assist with scheduling and monitoring required safety certifications for drivers.
  • Support scheduler as needed and ensure Tripmaster data is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain an accurate record of current staff and monitor tablet use in vehicles.
  • Run reports as requested and assist with data tracking for center performance.
  • Review and approve fuel purchases for assigned location.
  • Ensure proper use of company credit cards for transportation needs.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team as needed.
  • Complete initial and periodic assessments when requested.
  • Contribute to participant care planning and documentation.
  • Support Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • 8+ direct reports depending on census.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
  • Five or more years of experience in supervision, scheduling, logistics, Tripmaster, GPS software, Pacelogic, and Prime Suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire — we’ll provide the training!)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Requirements:

  • Requires valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening

Physical Requirements:

  • Works in well-lighted and ventilated office and therapy areas.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during the workday.
  • Must be able to assist with participant evacuations.
  • May experience frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
