Position Summary:
LivWell Infusions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in leading day-to-day clinical operations. This role ensures adherence to clinical policies, regulatory requirements, and high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to help drive departmental goals and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nurse Manager in the overall planning, implementation, and management of nursing services, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in hiring processes including resume review, interviews, preparing offer letters, and coordinating hiring decisions.
- Oversee onboarding of new nurses, ensuring completion of documentation and account setup.
- Conduct employee site visits, chart reviews, and performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with BLS, TB testing, Hepatitis B vaccination, licensure, and training module completion.
- Address day-to-day clinical questions and provide medical guidance to nursing staff.
- Support nurses in person or remotely with WeInfuse training and troubleshooting via Microsoft Teams.
- Travel to assigned infusion centers to assist with setup, training on EMR systems, medication administration, and pump operation.
- Conduct quarterly (or as-needed) site visits to ensure quality and compliance.
- Act as the lead for daily operations in the Nurse Managers absence.
- Collaborate with intake, scheduling, operations, and HR teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflows.
- Help coordinate staffing and coverage for scheduled patient appointments.
- Address and resolve patient concerns in collaboration with nursing staff.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings to improve performance, solve problems, and build team cohesion.
- Provide clinical coverage at locations when no other staff are available, as needed.
Required Experience:
- 12 years of experience as an RN in outpatient infusion or home health settings
- Proven knowledge of nursing practices with the ability to apply clinical judgment effectively
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- RN license required; BSN preferred
Certifications/Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse license in California
- Current BLS certification
Benefits:
a. Paid Time Off (PTO)- Accrual of PTO, up to 120 hours per year, begins at hire and can be used after 90 days of employment. This is a tiered system with annual carryover determined by state law.
b. Paid Sick Time (PST)- Accrual of Sick Time, up to 40 hours per year, begins at hire and can be used at the time of employment with annual carryover determined by state law.
