Traveling Housekeeping Attendant – Summer Opportunity
Assignment: Summer Seasonal (Travel Required to New Jersey)
Position Overview
We are seeking Traveling Housekeeping Attendants for a summer assignment supporting hotel operations in New Jersey. Candidates will be based in Puerto Rico, and will travel for a seasonal placement. This is a great opportunity to gain hospitality experience while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure guest rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to high standards, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities

  • Transport housekeeping cart with cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities to assigned rooms
  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
  • Replace used towels and replenish linens according to property standards
  • Make beds and ensure proper presentation of guest rooms
  • Clean and disinfect bathroom surfaces including sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors, and floors
  • Dust, polish, and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors as required
  • Inspect rooms for damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards and report accordingly
  • Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries, coffee supplies, and paper products
  • Ensure all furniture is properly arranged and aligned with room layout standards
  • Restock housekeeping carts at the end of each shift and maintain equipment cleanliness
  • Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests when encountered


Additional Responsibilities (Travel Role)

  • Travel to New Jersey for the duration of the summer assignment
  • Adapt quickly to different hotel properties and operational standards
  • Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily room quotas and deadlines


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods (up to 5 hours or more)
  • Ability to clean 14–16 rooms per shift efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (basic conversational level required)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
