Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours guaranteed per week (except during orientation/holidays)
- Three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
- 13-week contract starting May 18, with bi-weekly orientation
Key Qualifications
- Active compact RN license
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (attach with application)
- Minimum: 2 years recent stepdown and 1 travel contract OR 5 years stepdown experience
- Recent EPIC charting proficiency (checkoff required)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and precepting skills
- Required: Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation, post-heart cath care, drip titration, neuro assessment, and chest tube management
- Ability to float to nearby campuses within skillset
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver expert stepdown care to cardiac and neuro patient populations
- Manage tele and EKG monitoring, post-procedure care, complex drips, neuro assessments, and emergencies
- Float as needed (first within skillset, between campuses with advance notice)
- Precept students and new hires in a collaborative teaching environment
