Schedule

  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • 36 hours guaranteed per week (except during orientation/holidays)
  • Three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
  • 13-week contract starting May 18, with bi-weekly orientation

Key Qualifications

  • Active compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (attach with application)
  • Minimum: 2 years recent stepdown and 1 travel contract OR 5 years stepdown experience
  • Recent EPIC charting proficiency (checkoff required)
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and precepting skills
  • Required: Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation, post-heart cath care, drip titration, neuro assessment, and chest tube management
  • Ability to float to nearby campuses within skillset

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert stepdown care to cardiac and neuro patient populations
  • Manage tele and EKG monitoring, post-procedure care, complex drips, neuro assessments, and emergencies
  • Float as needed (first within skillset, between campuses with advance notice)
  • Precept students and new hires in a collaborative teaching environment
