Staff Source is seeking a RailCar Operator Loader/Unloader for our client in South Chicago to join their team. This position may lead to a temp to hire opportunity based on company needs, performance and attendance. Responsibilities:
• Assist with transfers of bulk products from railcar to storage containers both manually and using conveyors
• Detach each rail car to prepare them to be unloaded
• Perform safety inspections of the rail cars
• The Loader/Unloader performs all duties outdoors, in all weather conditions
• Loading material onto barges and vessels
Requirements:
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Reliable transportation
• Familiar with lock out tag out
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Steel toe boots required
• Must be familiar with OSHA 10 or 40
• Locomotive experience and familiarity with the railroad industry required
• Must be able to work rotating shifts
• Ability to stand, bend and twist repeatedly for long periods of time
• High school diploma or GED
