Position: Medical Receptionist

Location: St. Paul, MN

Schedule: 8:00a - 4:30pm

Pay: $19 - $21 / hour

Department: HC admin

Dress: Business Casual

Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, and vision.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Operations:
    • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and routing calls as appropriate.
    • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and reception area.
  • Scheduling and Coordination:
    • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments while optimizing provider schedules.
    • Contact patients to confirm upcoming appointments and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed prior to their visit.
    • Coordinate with referral sources to obtain and process referrals when required.
  • Insurance and Patient Information Management:
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
    • Collect and update all necessary patient information, including demographics, insurance details, and referral documentation.
    • Communicate with insurance companies to confirm benefits and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Patient Communication and Follow-up:
    • Contact patients from the calling list to notify them when products (such as prescribed items or devices) are ready for pickup or fitting.
    • Schedule appointments for patients to receive their products or follow-up care.
    • Provide excellent customer assistance, addressing patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
