We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Specialist to join a team in a fully onsite, contract-to-permanent role. This position supports day-to-day human resources operations across recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and compliance activities while partnering closely with HR leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment when handling confidential information, and experience working with HR systems and regulated records.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate hiring activities by screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and assisting with candidate communications throughout the recruitment process.
• Lead employee onboarding by preparing documentation, facilitating orientation steps, and ensuring employees are set up accurately in HR systems.
• Maintain organized and compliant personnel files by reviewing records, updating documentation, and supporting internal audits.
• Assist with employee relations matters by responding to routine HR questions and escalating sensitive concerns to the HR Director when appropriate.
• Support administration related to workers’ compensation matters, wage complaint documentation, and other employment-related filings.
• Help employees understand benefit offerings and related materials, including enrollment information and earnings statement questions.
• Use platforms such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and HRIS tools to track information, prepare reports, and manage HR workflows.
• Represent the organization at periodic hiring events and job fairs to help attract candidates with relevant experience.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR Director and contribute to operational tasks tied to HR process updates when needed.
• Previous experience in human resources administration with exposure to recruiting, onboarding, and employee record management.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms; experience with Paycor and EmployeeNavigator is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to manage documents and shared information in SharePoint.
• Familiarity with employee relations practices and handling confidential information in a detail-oriented manner.
• Ability to work onsite during standard business hours.
• Experience supporting compliance-driven environments, including documentation subject to HIPAA or other regulated requirements.
• Must be able to complete required clearances, including child abuse and other pre-employment screenings such as physical, TB, and drug testing.
