A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services to students from PreK through 12th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role near Mount Lemmon, AZ, features a set schedule of one monthly visit (7.5 hours each session), making it ideal for professionals seeking consistency with flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
- At least one year of prior experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong background in pediatric OT, particularly for students with diverse needs
- Ability to supervise and support a COTA, ensuring quality service delivery
- Skilled in communication and collaboration with educators and families
- Organizational expertise to manage reports, documentation, and student progress efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services on a monthly basis to a caseload of 13-14 students ranging from PreK through high school
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and document session outcomes
- Supervise and mentor an assigned COTA, offering guidance and professional support
- Collaborate with classroom staff and other school professionals to maximize student success
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians when addressing student progress and plans
- Maintain compliance with all IEP requirements and school policies
