Job type: Full time, PRN, Part time

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated therapy team. This role is ideal for a COTA who is passionate about helping residents improve independence, function, and quality of life in a supportive care environment.

Position Overview

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation and the supervising Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in accordance with state practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

  • Implement treatment plans as outlined by the supervising therapist and physician orders

  • Monitor resident response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the therapy team

  • Complete daily treatment notes and all required documentation in compliance with state regulations

  • Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal resident outcomes and quality of life

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate’s degree) recognized by AOTA

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing (required)

  • Experience working with the geriatric population preferred

  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
