Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description
This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply and grow your technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work primarily on the night shift in a modern coffee roasting and packaging facility, partnering closely with another technician and production teams to keep operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced roasting and packaging systems, learn from an experienced engineering team, and become a trusted technical resource on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Keep production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably across roasting, packaging, and warehouse operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and unplanned downtime to minimize disruption to production schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems on production and support equipment.
- Support and perform equipment upgrades, installations, and small projects that drive continuous improvement in the plant.
- Monitor machine performance, analyze recurring issues, and recommend improvements to increase uptime and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with operators, supervisors, and engineering leaders to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and share updates.
- Uphold all safety standards, including consistent use of lockout/tagout procedures and participation in plant safety initiatives.
- Contribute to food safety programs by following sanitation standards and performing equipment cleaning as required.
- Accurately document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to cross-functional teams.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of related experience in a technician or maintenance role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Minnesota Electrical Unlicensed Individual (or greater) certification.
- Basic electrical circuit knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical work and fabrication.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Comfort operating, adjusting, and understanding production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to navigate SCADA systems used for roasting and associated packaging systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks, priorities, and documentation.
- Clear and confident communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
