As a machinist, you will perform shop math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversions involving geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculations. You must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and code. Experience with conversational controls is advantageous. You will calculate feeds and speeds and demonstrate a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing.
Responsibilities
- Perform shop math and metric conversions.
- Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Calculate feeds and speeds for machining processes.
- Apply strong understanding of geometric tolerancing.
- Edit and work with g-code at the machine as there is no in-house programmer.
- Act as your own process engineer/programmer.
Operate vertical lathe, horizontal lathes, and boring bar.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $75000.00/yr.
