Job Title: Traveling Carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Traveling Carpenter to join our team. This position requires expertise in various carpentry skills and the ability to travel within the Midwest for 2-3 days per week. The role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing and drywall installation.
- Execute trim carpentry and cabinetry tasks.
- Install cabinets, millwork, and solid surface tops.
- Fit wainscot and chair rail.
- Mount doors, hardware, and FRP installations.
- Install bathroom hardware.
- Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints.
- Utilize power and hand tools effectively.
- Engage in roofing, woodworking, and tile laying as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in framing, drywall, trim carpentry, cabinetry, and millwork.
- Experience with solid surface tops, wainscot, and chair rail installations.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Skilled in using power and hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with FRP installation and bathroom hardware.
- Comfortable with plumbing, flooring, roofing, and hardware tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
The role involves traveling within the Midwest 2-3 days per week, with the remainder of the time spent working in the Kansas City metro area. Expect to work 40-50 hours per week in a variety of settings, utilizing both indoor and outdoor environments. The position requires wearing appropriate safety gear and using various tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Century, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.50/hr.
